Everything starts with the sack tipping station. Our modular stainless steel enclosures, paired with a reverse pulse jet filter, ensure dust-free operation under ATEX Zone 21/22 conditions. This is not just hygiene—it is the first defense against cross-contamination and secondary dust explosions.
Before any precision device sees the material, a lump breaker conditions it. Filter cakes, hygroscopic agglomerates, and transport-generated lumps are gently crushed at low RPM. This protects the rotary valve from jamming and the cone mill from impact damage.
The rotary valve is the heart of pneumatic conveying. Doebritz CNC-machines the housing to achieve radial clearances as tight as 0.10–0.25 mm, minimizing air leakage. Combined with an air-purged shaft seal, it ensures reliable feeding into either a dilute-phase conveying line or a gravity-fed process.
Unlike hammer mills, our cone mill uses low-speed shear to deagglomerate without generating heat. This preserves the morphology of heat-sensitive materials like APIs, flavors, and battery cathode powders. The narrow particle size distribution (PSD) that results is critical for downstream mixing accuracy.
A closed-system vibration sifter removes tramp oversize and foreign material. Unlike open sieves, our units are pressure-rated for vacuum or positive-pressure lines, eliminating blowback and product loss. Ultrasonic deblinding ensures even the finest powders (TiO₂, carbon black) screen efficiently.
The final stage is the vertical powder mixer. Its conical geometry and orbital screw produce a three-dimensional mixing action with a coefficient of variation (CV) ≤ 5%. Critically, the bottom-point discharge leaves virtually zero residue—essential for GMP cleaning validation and batch-to-batch integrity in Zone 20 environments.
